Pressure transducers

Melt pressure measurement for extrusion and injection molding. Standard process connection: 1/2-20 UNF. Optional: M18 × 1.5, M14 × 1.5, G3 and M10. Other configurations including M16, 1/2 BSP, 1/2 NPT, G2, G2T, G4, G3T and JRT are available on request.

Process connections

Standard: 1/2-20 UNF. Optional: M18 × 1.5, M14 × 1.5, G3 and M10. Other process connections including M16, 1/2 BSP, 1/2 NPT, G2, G2T, G4, G3T and JRT are available on request.

Electrical connections

Standard 6-pin bayonet or 8-pin threaded connectors. Cable exit with flexible conduit is also available for additional protection.

Dynisco VERTEX fill-free melt pressure transducer

VERTEX series — mercury-free and fill-free

No fill material and RoHS compliant. An optional Type J or K thermocouple can provide a melt-temperature signal, with a 4–20 mA temperature output available. Standard 1/2-20 UNF mounting fits standard transducer holes; a Button Seal adapter is also available. The robust Inconel diaphragm is coated with abrasion-resistant DyMax®. HART™ digital communication is available.

SPX series transducers

SPX series transducers

High performance and repeatability with 0.25% accuracy. 4-20 mA output with HART. Ranges up to 30,000 psi. Intrinsically safe or explosion-proof classifications. 22 different diaphragm types and 97 process connection types, including metric, imperial and flanged connections. A BHTF high-temperature fill option is available for demanding applications; maximum continuous diaphragm temperature is 350 °C.

Mercury-free SPX transducers with BHTF fill fluid

SPX series with mercury-free BHTF fill

NEW COMPONENT for the SPX line. Dynisco’s exclusive BHTF fill fluid withstands 350 °C without the contamination risks associated with diaphragm damage in NaK-filled transducers, and has a much longer service life than oil, which loses properties at high temperatures.

ECHO series transducers

ECHO line transducers

2-year warranty. Accuracy better than ±0.5%. TiAlN diaphragm coating is standard. mV/V, 0–10 Vdc and mA outputs are available. Integral temperature-sensor option. Configurations are available for most extruder applications and common pressure ranges.

Dual 5-digit display, peak-display function and digital auto-zero. Programmable alarm relays. Optional 4–20 mA or 0–10 Vdc retransmission. Accuracy better than ±0.5%.
